Eren Low-Carbon Buildings (via Accenta) and Nexity join forces
To develop geothermal energy in multi-occupancy housing
A new milestone in decarbonising multi-occupancy housing
Accenta, a company specialising in energy and carbon performance and owned by Eren Groupe, announces the creation of a joint venture with Nexity, France’s leading real estate group, to accelerate the roll-out of geothermal solutions in multi-occupancy housing.
This strategic alliance aims to address a major challenge of the energy transition: decarbonising the heating and cooling of residential buildings. Using borehole geothermal energy, a technology with a lifespan of more than 80 years, the partnership will make it possible to connect up to 5,000 homes a year by 2028.
A business model that serves residents
The joint offer will be based on a third-party financing model, guaranteeing occupants a controlled and stable cost over time, with no upfront investment on their part. This approach makes it easier to adopt high-performance low-carbon solutions by removing the financial barriers traditionally associated with this type of project.
A natural synergy between energy expertise and real estate presence
For Eren Groupe, this collaboration is a concrete illustration of the Group’s strategy: putting its expertise in low-carbon solutions to work in structuring partnerships with major real estate players. It also confirms Accenta’s position as a leading operator in energy and carbon performance for residential buildings.
